Hi ! Is there anyone who can tell me what type of sealant used on most rvs? It is a thick rubbery shiny black sealant. It is used around the electrical wires and other places and it almost looks like putty. Its flexible and rats don't chew through it. I really need to get some of it. The pic I show isn't very good. There is dust on the stuff but it's really usually shiny black

Geocell 2300 Black Construction Tripolymer sealant. You can get it from Amazon, or eBay. It comes in different colors, so you have to be careful when ordering to make sure you are getting the color you want.

Could also be one of several Sikaflex sealants that are usually sold in black, e.g. #221 or #227. 3M also makes a black urethane that would be useful in places like your picture.

Black urethane is very tough and stays flexible. For wire pass thrus and similar things, that would be my go to sealant. Urethane is what is used to hold windshields in cars, so it is strong.
