broken hitch

Someone should know a good fix for this on my last outing I broke the metal tab and lost the pin in my weight distribution hitch it is a round bar type I don't want to have to buy a new one

I would have to see a picture to be sure of this advice but the general advice when looking at hitch hardware is

BUY A NEW ONE...  When it comes to anything safety related.... DO NOT TAKE CHANCES

However that said.... Several parts on a weight distributing hitch are indeed easily replaced at low cost

Others are much harder (More work involved, not necessarly more skill) and more expensive

Which pin are you referring to, Brewbud?  And what brand and model of hitch is it?
