We are looking at a 200 Dutch Star With a 300 hp Cat and a 2000 Monico Diplomat with a 315 hp Cummins. Need feedback on both engines. Have heard there were problems with the Cat at 100k miles.

The CAT's engine maintenance schedule calls for a valve adjustment at 100k. Need to know which Cummins engine block, B or C, before I can comment about one over the other.

The cummins is a "c" engine.
And no, the Dutch Star is not a 200, but a 2000.

Everything else being equal, I'd go for the Cummins. I wouldn't turn down the CAT if I liked the coach better. I personally would go for the Dutch Star over the Monaco. YMMV

I've had both & liked each one....I always go for the one that offers the most HP/Torque, can't have too much of either.
