Hi Guys

I came across a handy .pdf file for the digital changeover.

I was going to add it to a thread on the subject, but found many threads.

It is RV specific and I thought it was pretty good.

Find it at Beaver Motorhomes (if they've moved it from Home Page, look under Service.

WOW.. I checked the PDF.. I have a diagram I drew up for hooking up a converter without ANALOG pass through

Other than their graphics are a bit nicer than mine

They show EXACTLY the same method I suggest!!!!

VERY good

Here's an alternative that I came up with that may provide you with a little more flexibility in the capability to view different channels on the front and rear TVs simultaneously.  I chose the specific converters for the features required to provide the functions needed to accomplish my objectives.  Like you said John, WOW....

That is a viration of what's on my JPG drawing too.  However things work differently depending on your rig

Many trailers have the wall-plate with the button and the light, that is the power supply for the pre-amp, if you put a splitter between it and the roof top things do not work.

Usign the diagram in the first PDF, works

Other rigs, such as mine, have a "Flex Vision" type of switch box. this is a advanced switch and in my case it includes several inputs, several outputs, the power supply for the roof, and.... An RF-Modulator for the dvd player (Now that's a box and 3/4)

One of the inputs is "AUX" and is not used at this time

ONe of my converters is going in there... I will put a diplexer (Special splitter which can pass power from the switch box to the roof) in the roof line, the power pass through port to the switch, non-power to the converter, common to antenna.  Likely will put my DTV-pal on that one

The insignia will go in the VCR-line  The VCR may become a Replay TV though... Replay #2 will go in the bedroom.. it will normally eat off the DTV-Pal

The reason for this has to do with the crappy cable they put in my rig,, UHF does not reach the rear well.

And there are a few other options too,  Depending on your existing hardware

I just got a couple of artec T3AP converters with analog passthrough. Cost was 6.95 for shipping and 0.00 for each unit with gov coupon.
I have a 12v tv in my unit so I can splice the power right into the 12v tv power switch.
I got two just in case I sell the current unit and need one sometime in the future :)

Where online did you fine those?  I thought the govt' coupons could only be used at brick & mortar retail stores.
