DVD 5.1 surround system

Hi all, my new 5th wheel has a lot of background hissing noise when playing a DVD in the 5.1 surround stereo that was included with the unit.  In my home system i is crystal clear.  I am wondering if this is a common problem with cheaper stereos included in RV's or does mine have a problem?  I'm thinking I should go to the dealership and compare with some others of the same make possibly.  Thanks for any input!

I dont know if this would apply to your unit or not, but if from what I have been reading, if your inverter/converter produces a modified sine wave, that sine wave has a tendency to make noise in some tv's, this might carry over to dvd players as well.
