Exhaust Brakes

Thanks to everyone for your in put. All the big brand exhaust brake will do what want. I'll give each one call, I'm concerned about the heat build up on the turbo if the brake is mounted to close to it .
 
I'll add that folks who have GM diesel pick-ups with the Allison tranny say they find no need for an add-on exhaust brake. The Grade Brake feature of the late model Allisons apparently does a fine job of holding the rig back on downhills. One person I know of has a very large 5W and is quite satisfied without an exhaust brake.

I wouldn't worry too much about heat, one of the features of a turbo is to use heat expansion to turn the turbo faster,, on most Cummins turbo engines the turbo is mounted right on the exhaust manifold with the Pac-brake mounted on the backside of the turbo,, maximum use of heat expansion and exhaust velocity.>>>Dan
