You DO NOT need 5500watts lol my onan 5500 runs all 3 of my a/c units 1 15000 and 2 13500s

I used to have an old honda 2200 it would run my 13500 a/c but nothing else - not even a light so long as you started the fan first.

We keep a jerry can of gas in the truck box incase it runs low much less hassle than dragging around propane cylinders

I'm surprised no ones said it before, so I guess I'll chime in and say....Predator! The Predator 3500 from harbor freight of course. I only got one this spring but through 2 trips and a little over 20 hours of use I can say I'm happy with my purchase. Quiet, easy to start, and powerful enough to run an AC, covers all my bases.

I just picked up another generator. Champion 2500/1800 dual fuel. I have only ran it on propane so it will put out a little less power. I realy like it and it is very quiet. You can connect two together also. I have a small Jayco trailer and it will run my AC without strugle.
