I see people refer to getting their roofs "sealed" and things like that. Is there anything I should do with anew 5th wheel toy hauler? I'm getting a Grand Design 398M. It will be stored, hopefully, in covered RV storage.

What kind of stuff is recommended for a new rig?

Thx,
CC

It should be fine when you take delivery but a roof inspection is part of the recommended annual preventive maintenance. If it is stored under roof most of the time it may not need anything but it is still a good ideal to inspect it.

It's also not a bad idea to check the roof before you leave the dealership. You never know what has happened whilst they had it. Question everything that concerns you.

Covered storage is ideal, will keep it looking good and much less sun wear and tear. Congratulations.

If your combined GVWR of truck & new toyhauler is over 26001 lbs you will need to get a Tx non-CDL class A or B Drivers license unless you have a CDL allready.
