"On the beach" in that area is a tall order. My wife is from Meridian, MS and our daughter is in Baton Rouge. There are lots of places "near" the beach, but you have to struggle to find anything until you get east of Pensacola.
Then again, you have to define more closely what you might be willing to settle for and whether across the highway or on another waterway besides the Gulf will suit you.
Go to RV Park Reviews and click on Campground Search in the menu bar.
Select USA, then select either Mississippi or Alabama.
Then select a town on the beach, the radius of the search (25 miles, 50 miles) and then choose any options, like Yes to hookups and hit the search button. There are plenty of them down there.

I have been past both before on my journeys,( before I owned an RV) but I have not stayed at either one. The RCoutdoors one looks really nice and is on my list to go to next year.
Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores Alabama is incredible. The park is on a Lagoon not on the beach, which is across the street. Top notch ammenities and the most beautiful white beaches in the country. You won't be disappointed. Check the link: http://www.alapark.com/GulfState/
Look for HO-HUM rv park. I forget the name of the town but it is in the Florida Pan-handle. close to Al. They have several spots on the water side. But reserve early because they are alway filled.
P.S. I just looked it up on google, it is in Carrabelle just southwest of Tallahassee. I have been there. Ho-Hum is aptley named. We stayed ther 1 weekend. We fell asleep on Saturday at 11am just for a nap mind you. Did not wake up until 6PM in time for supper.
If you're willing to go further east, the campground at Fort Pickens, Gulf Islands National Seashore, is a nice one. It's a great spot for the beach, history, nature, and just hanging out. And it's just a hop-skip-jump from Alabama.
