Thought I would like to say hello. While looking to buy a simple generator for basic back up power in case of black outs (rare in my area CA, USA anyhow), but also for portable power when I go to parks etc.

But anyway, while looking for a gennie, I come across a bunch of RVs by accident. Then, I thought, hmmmm, they look like a lot of fun! And the best part of it, is that many RVs and trailers I saw and liked are not expensive at all. Talking about $5000 to $10000. Although older, but still impresses me!

Now that I started getting interested in this subject! I will be asking some questions in the areas of this site!

Thanks all! I am Gilbert from California USA. Lived in Southern Cali all my life. I have 2 little daughters, and a loving wife of 8 yrs.

Welcome!  Here's a selling point if dear wife is a little reluctant to join the RV lifestyle.  If you get a motorhome of just about any size and if you can park it next to your house you can use the onboard generator in case of power outages.  Won't power the whole house but will keep the beer cold and provide a little light and power for TV.
