Hi, I am new here.
I stumbled onto this site when I was looking about a sail bat question.  I am a UC Berkeley student and I want to learn to sail, get a sailboat, and start going out.  I have some friends who sail and they took me out and I am totally enamored with it.  I am here just browsing and getting infrmation and hopefully advice for this.  Thank you to all of you and glad you are here.

Hi Christina,

The Berkley marina is a good place to stsrt. Head on down there snd check in with some of the locals. Be aware that there's usually a very stiff breeze blowing directly into the harbor in the afternoons.
