I have the option to buy, from a co-worker, a '98 Hornet 29H by Damon for $6,000. Anyone know if this is a good trailer or a good deal? I don't want to buy it even if I'm getting a good deal if they are junk. Thank you for your input.

Trailers are just simple boxes on a ladderframe supported by 1, 2, or 3 dead axles with straight ahead wheels.  What you see is what you get.  Take a look at the thread that cover the subject of use trailers by clicking HERE

As for the goodness of the deal, check the NADA Guide for the used retail value.  Those values are composed from dealer sales reports, which maybe artificially high.  RVs in private sales generally sell for less than NADA avergae retail and often below low retail. Don't be afraid to make an offer for less than the asking price. Used Rvs is a buyer's market and if somebody else buys this one, there will be plenty of others later.
