Hot water heater exhaust

When my hot water heater is running on gas the side of my motorhome gets so hot right above the you cant hold your hand on it,any suggestions.its a 2018 winnabago 35f

Assuming your burner is working correctly. Make sure the exhaust is not block in anyway. It is going to get hot at the vent

Check the air fuel mixture.  Instructions are in the manual.
