I have my 2002 Newmar Dutch Star in storage and don't need full insurance coverage. I just need the comprehensive, no collision. Well, the two don't appear to be separable, and I'm getting quotes of $1200 or more for coverage.

Does anyone know of an insurance company that will insure a Diesel Pusher that is in storage in Florida, for a reasonable rate? I just want to cover it for damage, in case of a storm or something to that effect.

Thanks!

GMAC offers a storage option on their standard RV policy, reducing the rate substantially while the motorhome is off the road. You can get GMAC RV insurance through the Good Sam Club.

I don't get the $1200, though. My 2004 coach, registered & titled in central FLorida,  costs MUCH less than that for full coverage year-around. Is yours perhaps registered in some other, more expensive region? Vehicle insurance rates can vary tremendously by locale, even within a state.
