I don't know who is in the NW corner of Florida or kinda close, but on the beach from Gulf Shores Alabama to Panama City Florida, the Pompano are about to turn on and the gulf will give up some of the best eating fish out there. There are multiple campgrounds in that distance of beach, my favorite is Fort Pickens where the surf fishing in fantastic and the bay side is no slouch. No boat requied. And so is Johnson Beach on the other side of the Pensacola Pass. Both beautiful pristine beach environments, no condos, no nothing but you and the beach. Other fish mixed in but those Pompano are about the best eating gulf fish after flounder.
