Lippert 6 point HYD levelers

We have a new Cedar Creek fifth wheel with 6 point HYD levelers. .They work great however after a week in the windy dusty desert near Laughlin the center and rear jacks moaned and groaned, when I retracted them.. They came up fine just sounded dry and like they needed to be lubed.. Any thoughts or same problems.. Thanks
 
When in that sort of situation you really need to wipe down the cylinder rods before retracting.  Otherwise you just drive grit into the seale which eventually can cause leaks.  Wipe them with a rag damppened with WD40 or hydraulic oil.
 
It could be the dusty conditions for a week, but there is also a "stickion" issue that is pretty well known in the Lippert 6 pt. Hydraulic leveler crowd.  Lippert recommends adding a quart of anti-stickion fluid to the hydraulic fluid.  Here is a link to the bulletin from Lippert...
