They do not.
New England Lobster are far lighter in taste. Crawfish tend to taste differently depending on where they are caught. IT likely depends on the water in which they live, and the kind of food they have.
We once caught Crawfish out of Aurora Reservoir in Colorado. Had to get a permit, and catch them by hand. They wouldn't permit SCUBA but we could snorkel.
They were BIG, and delicious. Best Crawfish Boil I was ever a part of.
