Years ago during our non-rving travels, we were in a hotel restaurant and I ordered the New England Clam Chowder. It was delicious so I asked the waitress if she would see if the chef would give me the recipe (that request is not often granted). She came back and said the chef uses Campbell Soup's New England Clam Chowder and substitutes half of the milk with half and half. Been making it that way ever since. ;D
