Hey all,
Just joined in here.
We are currently refurbishing a 1999 Glendale Golden Falcon 5th wheel we got as a repo from a bank. We upgraded from a 19 foot 2005 Rockwood Roo hybrid Travel trailer which is currently for sale.  Planning a 4-6 week trip out west summer of '07 and am also looking for a tow vehicle for the 5th wheel.

The choice of a truck for that fiver depends on the gross vehicle weight rating of the trailer.  Look for a DOT plate on the left hand side of the trailer on the forward edge.  The GVWR should be indicated on that.  Failing that, weigh the trailer on a public scale.  The procedure is in our Towing and Towables section of the forum library.

Fixing up an RV can be fun - it makes it all the more "yours" when you do customizing yourself.

Carl's advice on the getting the trailer weights before selecting the tow vehicle is wise and I second it completely.
