Welcome I too am from TN I have had a C now a A class I think you should rent a c and see if it fits and how much stuff you plan on taking with you. Myself my C had 16 in tires and had LT tire my 29 ft with a slide was blow out city in 14 years . This A class 22.5 in tires triple slides never a problem so make sure what you buy fits your needs.
 
A Class C can be a full time rig. But, it can't haul all the stuff the average folks seem to think that they need all the time.

I would recommend buying the RV BEFORE selling your house, though. get used to the rig, and the living style while you can still have a place to go back.
