Hello All,
I found this site when researching and looking for answers to leaky RV AC units.... ugh! we have some water damage and fear a total replacement needed on our used camper roof, but more on that in another thread. Happy to be here and hope to one day contribute because I'm sure I will be picking your brains!

Water leaky or refrigerant (freon) leaky? Water that appears around the ceiling at the a/c does not necessarily mean that the water is entering around the a/c on the outside. Most any water that gets inside the roof will leak out around the a/c opening cause it is typically the lowest spot.  But to be sure, look up from the inside (inner grill removed0 and you should see 4 bolts, one in each corner. Snug them up firmly, but not super-tight. You don't want to completely crush the gasket under the a/c.

My wife and I are originally from Rome and still have a bit of family there. Anywhere near you?
