Newbie from Concord,Ca

Hi all - newbie from Concord, CA. we bough our first rv two weeks ago, didnt realize there’s a lot of things to think about and do. I gotta say its been one heck of two weeks getting the rv situated. From getting windshield chip on same day getting on dealer, miscalculating the driveway and scraping the black tank handle. Anyway looking forward to sharing and learning from all of you.

Quick question is it safe to turn on Dometic fridge in a slightly inclined driveway for a couple of days? The incline down is about 5 degrees down. We have camping schedule already this Friday and with work and kids I dont have enough time to build a ramp to level the rv.

5 degrees is really pushing your luck with the fridge. If it's a trailer, can't you raise or lower the front jacks enough to get fairly level?

The tilt spec on a modern RV fridge is typically about 3 degrees fridge_side-to-fridge_side, which is usually fore & aft on the RV.

Thanks Gary! It's a class C rv. I plan to build ramp to level it. I just don't have time to do for now until we leave this Friday. I was thinking turning it on on Thursday night until we leave this Friday for our first weekend with RV.

Concord huh? Used to have a good customer in Benicia, plus 10 stainless. Bit he sold out to someone else, so have not been back in a long time. Good luck with your camping
