Onan 4k Gas Air Cooled Gen

Made it to the club, picked up the Winnebago Aspect 30J. Departed Adrian, Mi and rolled to Terre Haute IN on day 1. Got a late start, and when we overnighted I ran gen set 8 hrs. Is this too much consecutive use in this heat?

It shouldn't be, but be sure to allow a few minutes cool-down under no load before you shut off the engine so the fan can dissipate some of the engine heat.

Also be careful of carbon monoxide buildup inside the RV, especially if you're running the generator while you're asleep.  A Gen-Turi exhaust stack will raise the generator's exhaust above the roof level, where it can continue to rise and dissipate.

Just make sure you check the oil every day and do maintenance on the severe schedule.
Do not cheap out on oil or filter

Thanks Gents for the sound advice.  We overnighted in Oklahoma City KOA night 2 after stopping and picking up a surge protector at camping store. We are loving this 30J!
