Part mystery

Can anyone identify this part for me. Is not listed in the parts catalog. There are two of these in separate locations. One is on the back of the sink cabinet, the other is on the bedroom panel by the cabinet where our washer and dryer are. Is appreciate any help in solving this mystery.

Looks like something to prevent wall damage by door knobs.

When you say the back of the cabinet are you saying it?s inside the cabinet but on the back wall?
Is it metal or plastic. If metal is it magnetic?

Looks like it could be a switch. Are there any wires in back of it? Or maybe it's a socket with a cover you pull out.

That is the temperature sensor for your dual zone HVAC system.  My coach has two of them, one for each zone.  Looks exactly the same except for the color.
