i am trying to figure out the pin weight of my 2006 cherokee wolfpack toyhauler 295wp.  i have no place i can easily do it myself, so i have been looking online.....with no luck so far.  can someone point me in the right direction?  thanks

Do you have a scaled ready to camp weight yet?  If not, take the trailers GVWR as your base starting point.  You can generally figure 20% of the trailers GVWR will be pin weight.  So as an example if your trailer has a GVWR of 12,000 pounds, your pin weight will be close to 2400 pounds.

Donn... if an RVer had access to a truck scale, would putting the pin but not the trailer onto the scale result in a measurement of the pin weight?  If not, then how is it measured?  Just curious.

Weigh the truck without trailer, then weigh just the truck with the fifth wheel attached the difference would be the pin weight.
