I will be in the area in mid Oct. Is it worth a stop to "check it out" for 14 days.

If so, where is the best spot to camp both free and fee.

Is there any thing, events, flea markets, vendors going on at that time of year?

Thanks

Not a lot going on then. Quail Run is a very nice park. Wide open for boondocking.

If you like "boondocking" and want to stay out of the sand and dust, 5 miles north of town at Plamosa RD. is the place to be. The area is made up of small volcanic stone with good drainage and no dust or sand blowing, also, no one is checking for time limits while you are there. I have been camping there for 19 years.>>>Dan
