Still looking: Are they still making the Condor made by R Vision? Pros & Cons I haven't been able to get a good answer on it. Does anyone have one that they would  have any input. I have found a 2003 Condor 34' double slide fully loaded in perfect shape with 7,600 miles on it for the asking price of $40,000. If they don't make it any more I wounder what the parts situation is like. What do ya think I want to step up from a C to an A.  Thanks, Jim in Maryland

Hi Jim;

We have the same questions. We are considering a 2003  27' Vision by Trail Lite. They seem to be specialists in TTs not motorhomes, but we really like the floorplan of this one. I hope that someone has some comments on this.

Good luck!
Elly

R-Vision was purchased by Monaco about a year before they went bankrupt. The "New" Monaco is building R-Vision Trailers but no motorhomes. I don't know what support is available for older R-Vision products.

Hi..I have a 2002 R-Vision Condor... 33' Motorhome..I bought it in 2007 and I'll tell you..I have had nothing but problems with it... I think ..just about every trip we have been on something has broken, or the motorhome has broken down. I have been towed 4 times... had mechanics come to it another 3 times. The other issues I have been able to fix myself. Everything from the side mirror falling out of the holder... The wiper blade motor going bad in a rain storm.....The ignition switch burning up.....Tramsmission not dropping out of over drive when cruising flat......Coach air conditioning unit stop working... Generator stop working....Now I am having problems with my heater fan.... it has already blown two fuses. I am not a happy camper with this unit.... When I bought it, it only had about 7,000 miles on it.

R-Vision built an entry level unit so there may well be some sort cuts in design and fabrication, but still I  would not expect that many problems in one RV. Sounds like it may be a lemon - every manufacturer builds a few. Very frustrating to own one like that - you have our sympathy.  If we can help you diagnose and repair anything, feel free to ask. There is a lot of expertise around here.

Thank you the help.... I just found out the other day that Trail-Lite / R-vision is no longer in existance....That makes it worse as there is now no one to acll to ask for help.....Lucky the chassie is a workhorse, so i can still get help there.It just gets really fustrating when your out on the road and you always have in the back of your mind...when is it going to break down..... We started RVing because we have a handicapped son, and need to have his medical equpiment readily avalable. Just very dissapointed in this our first A Class motorhome....

My name is Herb Gerretz? I have a Condor, Trail-Lite, A ?Class Motorhome with a Workhorse Chassis. The Motorhome is a 2002 and has about 30,000 miles on it? I don?t know if you are the person to talk with, but I do need to talk with someone?. This Motorhome is the first one that I have had that has a Workhorse Chassis. I?m not sure if I would ever buy another that had the same Chassis. We have had the Motorhome for about 4 years now? and just about every trip, the unit has broken down. My wife and I are at the point that we are actually scared to take the unit out knowing that it will brake down someplace. The main reason we bought the Motorhome was because of the convenience of having everything available to us when we go on trips..See, we have a handicapped son that requires a lot of care and medical assistance. Thus, the Motorhome provides us the ability to take care of him no matter where we are. Try taking care of him broke down along the side of the road with tractor trailers speeding by shaking the whole unit. Or being broke down and having the unit broke down?towed someplace?. And hoping you can get to his medical equipment with out any issues. We were broke down 3 days in Georgia on the way to one of our sons house for Thanksgiving. We stayed at a truck repair place until they finally found the problem with the ignition switch. 3 days we sat at that repair facility. We didn?t think we were going to make it for Thanksgiving. This last trip over the 4th of July holiday, we took to up state PA. The camper broke down in the rest area. It was the solenoid switch on the auto parking brake. When engaged, the brake prohibits the transmission from moving. So we were stuck dead. I finally found a place to come fix the unit 5 hours later and over $300.00 out of my pocket. This is the second time that problem has occurred. The first time was in North Carolina on the way home from Florida. We ended up have addition braking problems along with the auto parking brake going bad. The Motorhome was left there, we went home, and found someone the next day to tow it and fix it. I had to make another trip down to NC to bring the unit home. I?ve had the gas filler hose go bad recently. The gas was leaking straight through it?.On another trip to Florida, the engine just shut down. We were on I95 in Virginia. The Motorhome had to be towed to a campground for the evening, and a repair facility came to the campground and got it started the next day. Still don?t know what caused that? We have had other issues that are Motorhome related such as the Generator stop working in 90 degree weather. The motor on the heater has gone bad while camping in October. The air conditioner has stopped working. The outside mirrors on the drivers side, have literally fallen out of there case and left hanging until I could pull over to tape them up. The wiper motor went bad?and of course it was when it was raining. Had to drive from South Carolina to New Jersey in rain and no wipers?..The Voltage converter went bad?.Had no electric going to the 12 volt system.

            You can see why my wife and I are so afraid to take this unit out for vacation. It?s really no vacation when you?re worried about whether or not you?re going to make it home in one piece, and with everything you left with. Also having to worry about taking care of a handicapped child. Not knowing if your going to have available the equipment you need to take care of him. I know you?re probably not the person to complain to, but I have to start somewhere. Maybe you can point me in the right direction?..

Thank you very much for at least reading this.

R-Vision made rigs in 2011 so they must have just gone out of business. The last year they made a Condor was 2004. All this info is available on NADAs web site.

Herb,
Thanks for the information and sorry to hear of your terrible experience with your MH.  Hopefully you've found a solution for this situation by now.  God bless.
