Hi everyone!

Bought an RV last month and now have to get a bunch of stuff including a decent microwave. I browsed some online stores like this one and noticed that the prices on RV microwaves are on average 50-70 dollars higher compared to regular ones.

Are there any major differences or it is just a marketing trick?

Also, I'd appreciate any recommendations.
I don't need anything fancy, just want it to work.

Thanks

I replaced a blitzed 5 year old Furrion with a Hamilton Beach from WM that was close by. Measured old one, got one same size off the shelf. Remove frame from old microwave, attach to new one. It did require drilling small pilot holes in the bottom, so I stayed away from the control panel side. Plug in, slide into cab, replace front frame screws.

The microwaves don't know if they are in an RV or not. It's just a regular 120v microwave that fits in the desired spot. Some are vented outside, but that's fairly rare these days. Outside venting is an install option on the higher end models, e.g. Advantiums.
