Rookie RV family

Looking for advice on trip from OKC to Galveston Island TX.  Small kids would like to stop somewhere halfway there or alittle further.  Any advice?

Stop at the Space center RV park in League City South of Houston and spen a day at the Space Center.  Very interesting for adults and Children.

If the kids are old enough to enjoy feeding animls from the car, you might stop at Turner Falls (Davis, Oklahoma) and drive through the animal park.  It's called the Arbuckle Wilderness.  Their web site is:  http://www.arbucklewilderness.com/.  Lots of aminals that come stick their head in your car window.  Great for the kids.
