We are headed to Corpus Christi from Galveston Island. Would prefer not to back track and instead, take the Road south over San Luis Pass at the west end of Galveston Island. None of the routing software recommends this. I have driven it in our Jeep and It is a bit tight, especially at the toll both. Has anyone taken their Motorhome over this route and how comfortable would you be doing it again? Your experiences would be helpful as we plan our route.

Google Earth zoomed in appears to show a class A at the tolls.
Street view appears to show a 10’ lane at the tolls. Heck, DOT trucks have to get through.

I've not pulled our 5er across but have no issue with my dually. We stay close to Freeport & drive over to Galveston usually to take the Ferry & visit Sister at her place on Crystal Beach

Thanks for your responses. I appreciate your advice. I had hoped to have heard from someone who made the trip in a MotorHome. We backtracked to Alvin and then took 35 down to Mathis. Not sure it would have been worth the bother.
