Thanks for all the help.  I ended up with the VersaHaul VH-55 RO to haul my scooter and still be able to tow my car.  The motorcycle carrier for the $150 on Ebay did not look safe to me.  I found out that they are made in China and the VersaHaul is made in Indiana.  I have been very happy with it no complaints so far.

My wife uses an electric "Go Cart" when we are camping for things like trips to the laundry (I can hook a trailer to it so she can haul a 2 week supply of dirty cloths behind her)  It fits in my mini-van.  In fact, I garage it there
