Sometimes things just come together and work out.

I have been asking the same question to everybody that calls about buying the coach.  "Why would you buy an RV with the situation that we are facing right now and the possibility of not being able to travel".

I finally got the best answer.  A husband and wife team of traveling nurses need it as they go to Washington State to care for patients.

They have 2 little girls, 6 and 8.

I think that the ability to have a dedicated space that is off limits to anyone possibly infected and the control over how clean it is inside make selling them the coach the best possible outcome for their safety and their daughters.

It sure beats any temporary housing.

They had a budget that was quite a bit lower than asking but I really felt that it was the right thing to do.

After we had worked out the details I then surprised them with all kinds of free stuff.  I gave them an external water filteration system with a water softener, two folding outside recliners, two woven outside mats, a large box full of filters, spare parts and assorted gadgets.

They were happy campers.

I told them that I could not imagine any law enforcement not letting them travel once they show that they are nurses and where they are responding to.  I told them that they would probably get an escort...LOL

Here is a picture of the coach before they drove it away smiling.

You are a good man Bill Waugh. Congratulations, one less worry and asset to look at  :))

As the saying goes, "Everything happens for a reason." Congratulations Bill. And as you say, a good feeling knowing how it's going to be used  :)) :))

Our area...Fresno and Clovis California just announced you can keep an RV on the street to live in if you work in a essential job and wish to isolate yourself from your family.

So I'm thinking they'll be able to travel out here.

Congrats on being able to sell your rig and have it go to a family who plans to battle the pandemic.

That's about the best thing I've heard in what seems like a long time amid all the confusion, sadness, sickness, and doom.

"So shines a good deed in a weary world."

A bounty of RV swag to boot.  You are a good man.

Here is a virtual pat on the back for you, partner as I wipe the tear of joy for them.

Here is a pic of some of the RV swag we inherited.  ;)

Now you got room for a couple race cars.

Bill in that picture of the MH you provided, is that in front of your new home? If it is, I also see a trailer in the yard. Are you taking up camping in a towed RV?

Congrats Bill.  While I hate to see your ability to RV gone for the time being, I'm glad the old Country Coach will be out helping others stay healthy.  As far as you not RVing any more, well that's something I think you need to reconsider.  Maybe not in a 40' coach, but IIRC, you travel mostly by yourself.  Maybe a smaller RV, think Travato or similar, is in your future.  It would be great to catch up with you at Q or some other area.  Until then, stay safe.
