Politics aside, it's time to respect the Office Of The President and practice some patriotic songs for inauguration day. I'm still hoping that my "lost" singing voice will return sufficiently to sing on Wednesday. Some patriotic songs in my library:

- The Star Spangled Banner (tough for anyone to sing).
- God Bless America (Irving Berlin), that I've sung countless times to close out our concerts.
- God Bless The USA (Lee Greenwood).
- America The Beautiful (Samuel A. Ward & Katharine Lee Bates).

I don't know what other songs will be/have been requested by our incoming President, but I suspect he won't invite Lee Greenwood, a true American Patriot.

Please be assured that, if discussion here turns political, our staff will shut this down in a hurry.

I've always loved American the Beautiful.  I hope tomorrow we'll "crown they good with brotherhood from sea to shining sea".

I hadn't seen the playlist, but just googled it. 46 songs?
... would go with maybe Lawrence Welk or the Dorsey orchestra.
Maybe if they were still alive and performing  :) Our kids and grandkids think I sing songs from the dinosaur era  :(

I enjoyed this unusual rendition of America The Beautiful performed by the US Navy Band:

Outstanding.  I've been a fan of one by Ray Charles but this may replace Ray on my favorits lists.
