I recently hooked a limb with the bedroom slide out cover on our 2014 Winnie Vista 27N. That's the canvas/fabric cover over the closet slide out on the driver side rear.  The hardware is okay but I need to replace the fabric.  I would like to do the job myself.  Can anyone tell me where I might get the parts (material)?

I did a quick Google search and found a variety of vendors. Google: Slide Toppers

The first thing you need to determine is who manufactured the slide topper/mechanism (Carefree? etc) in question. Once that is known, Google will pop up with lots of possibilities. I repaired 3 of mine last year using a local boat/awning repair business which was cheaper than buying from the original manufacturer.

Here is one aftermarket source I have used: http://www.toughtopawnings.com/

You can also order OEM replacement fabric from the slide topper manufacturer (usually A&E or Carefree). PPL Motorhome parts is one good source for ordering those.

A local marine canvas shop could make them easily enough too. Sunbrella fabric is a good choice.

I've replaced all four of my slide toppers with replacements from Ray at http://toughtopawnings.com/rv-awning-replacement-pricing.html  (same as Garys recommendation)  I did mine with two separate orders and was amazed both times at the speed of manufacture and shipping. They include instructions on exactly what to do. It's a two person job but I actually did one by myself before my help arrived. The first one is the hard one. Once you've done it once it's a snap to do the others.
