Those Indian Casinos have gotten me in trouble in the past. I have gotten free nights when I have gotten a players card but learned those free nights are never free (atleast for me) as I am too tempted to gamble a little. They are a great option for those who have the strength not to venture inside. I guess it is an option for sure when in a pinch as it is free. I used to frequent Pechanga as I love playing poker, or rather used to. Now I just get my fix by watching the WSOP and other poker streams.
On another subject I must say I am so glad I rented before buying because I have learned so much about what I want and don't want in an RV.  Right now my back really hurts after sleeping on that awful mattress. I actually slept on the couch on the 2nd night of the 30ft rv I rented and that was also uncomfortable. I'm not a primadonna at all, I know I am not going to have some of the comforts of home but for sure I need a comfortable bed and one that is easy to get in and out of and not have to walk sideways to squeeze into the bedroom and trip over myself while attempting to change clothes. Oh and the bathroom, awful! I don't want to be too descriptive but being larger and frankly I don't even know how skinny people do it but while sitting on the toilet I cant even, well I don't want to be too descriptive but basically can't move so you get the idea. These issues have me rethinking a travel trailer because of the various floor plans and a walk through roomy bathroom but I really want a class A. I have looked at so many Class A motorhomes and can't seem to find one where the toilet doesn't allow you to move.  Next weekend is my last weekend to rent as the prices go way up in April.  A big plus is I feel alot of confidence driving the 30ft and 25ft Motorhome. I wish I had an SUV or truck so I could also rent a trailer and be able to make a really informed decision by comparing the two. I know nothing is perfect but these Cruise America RV's are not comfortable. Thanks for letting me share my progress/confusion with you all.

Might be kind of hard to find a 30ft coach with a large bathroom. My 30ft Challenger had a separate toilet room with sink, shower was across from it, but the toilet room wasn't all that big. I'm 5'9 250lbs and it was ok for me. My wife didn't like the small shower, but then again it was ok with me. We sold the Challenger and bought a 34ft coach to get a bigger shower. Ended up with a 34ft with 2 slides, big difference, and nice, but not necessary for me. You'll find something that will make you smile.

It's good to rent an RV to see what you like, but I also recommend going to some RV shows.  Walk into every motorhome that looks interesting.  Sit on the toilet, stand in the shower, lie on the bed, sit on the sofa, sit at the dinette, think where you'll store everything (especially things of an odd size or shape), consider how you'll be cooking, eating, entertaining, sleeping, reading, working on hobbies and whatever.  When you find one that seems to meet your needs, then ask for a test drive.  Since you'll be using this as your home, it's important to "feel" all aspects of it.  I doubt you'll find one that meets every single need or want so start making lists of "must have", desirable to have", "don't want", and "must not have" items.  Those lists will help you whittle down what is most important.

It may seem like a daunting process and it does take time, but you'll eventually find the one motorhome that is right for you.

I can tell you, as a man, and getting into RVing, it is a big question mark. I know where I am headed, but I still don't know what I'm up against. I bought a nice new 24 w a slide, no idea what class it is, don't care. Bought a new Ram, with a 5.7 Hemi, got a no sway leveler, and test drove the rig until I was laughing. Make sure you are comfy w your rig. I take off in a month, leaving a place I have been for 40 years. I can't wait. Make sure you are ready to go. Good luck. I know I need some.

Hi,

Wondering if one of the old timers here that might be located in California could help Summer look at units. At least help check out a unit before she buys. I'd like to see her in a good unit she can count on. I'd certainly do the same in my area but I'm miles from that location and there has to be some others that can help who know their stuff.

I'm in TX, so no help out there. Like I said, you gotta match the camper to the puller. What is she driving? Pulling and tongue weight capabilities...her experience, etc. I am almost 56 w years of backing trailers and boats, I still feel a little uncertain while backing my trailer. Driving it is cured by the right hitch, and swaybars.  Depends on how fast she wants to drive her VW pulling a teardrop trailer, I suppose...LOL just kidding.
