Hi..I bought a camper that has pump up jacks on all 4 corners.. 2 of the jacks were leaking hydraulic fluid.. I got a ring kit and swamped out the worn rings in the pump cylinder area.. I went to prep the stand and prime it as per instructions and was not having any luck getting the stand to hold pressure.. it is not longer bleeding fluid so i am guessing i got the ring replacement process done properly.. i have now found that the stem that is raised and lower via the pump jack comes right off /slides out of the top pump tube.. is this normal or should the bottom extending tube ( that would support the camper from ground up be connected in some way to the main body?
Tnx Richard

I had hydraulic jacks on my second TC, a Coachman Ranger. Did not like them at all, found a set of crank jacks and replaced. They have not used hydraulics for years so far as I know, must be a reason. I did see set of them on ebay at a pretty low cost. Might be easier than chasing down a leak.
