Basic Ingredients:

1 to 1-1/2 lb. Chuck Roast
1-2 Onion(s) Quartered
2-4 Red Potatoes Quartered
Couple of Carrots Cut up

(Hubby and I will eat the leftover meat but not usually the veggies so I use one onion and 2 potatoes)

Variations:

#1

1 package of dried Lipton Onion Soup
About 3 beef bouillon cubes
Water - (Forgot to add original post)

#2

1 package dried gravy mix (I use McCormick .87 oz.) and water per gravy directions.
If you use a larger roast or more veggies, you may want to use 2 gravy mixes and double the water.

Choose a variation, add to basic ingredients, put in crockpot and cook on low for about 8 hours.

Sam sometimes prepares a roast in the crock pot and lets it cook while we are going down the road.  The smell of the roast cooking really stirs up the hunger by the time it is time to stop for the night. ;D
