They can be in various locations depending on the manufacturer (Moen, Delta, etc.) - some might be in the handle, some might be in the head.  You would need to explore your shower head by disassembling it and looking for anything that might restrict water flow.

There is an obvious downside - if you dry camp a lot, water management would be more difficult.

Thanks!  That's what I needed.  I was hoping it didn't involve the actual piping in the RV.
