What type of Lock and cable do most people use to lock up their Generators?

The biggest issue I see with either chain or cable locks is not the material, but the generator itself. Nearly all have plastic casing and the handles, which most people chain to, are removable.
As has been mentioned, if a thief wants it, they will take it. The best protection is not to ever leave it in view if your not around to keep an eye on it. I know that doesn't help the OP, but with the cost of generators, he just might be better investing in some more battery power and an inverter to run the CPAP during the night, and use the generator next day to recharge the batteries.

Heavy cable and a masterlock. With the abundance of battery operated tools today a determined thief will take it no matter what, this is just an attempt to slow them down, or make enough noise to alert you.
