Patty,
Those are a lot of questions! Others who come from that direction, or who have in the past, will provide you some routing information, but most of that will be based on how much time you have to make the trip. For some, time dictates daily distance, and you want to be able to stop and smell the roses.
There will be more information to follow, but generically, we (RV Forum folks) will be greeting and parking you, collecting your fees prior or at arrival, and a loose itinerary is being prepared, even as we speak.
This is a bit different than a lot of rallies, in that we have a block reservation. I have not received the exact block of sites yet because winter has a lot to do with which sites will be clear when we get there. So you will want to watch the FAQ page.
On arrival day, Sunday, May 15, we will be greeting and escorting folks as they come in, and there will be a group welcome and introduction event that afternoon at a time to be announced.
There will be plenty of information dispensed at that time to cover what has not been posted prior.
Our goal, especially for the new folks, is to create a schedule that allows you to pick and choose how to spend your time and not over structure things. It will give you plenty of options, some as a group, others individually, so that you maximize the time you have and balance that with everything that is important for you to see and do.
Yellowstone National Park is not mastered in a week, but hopefully we can provide you with a guide that will give you the most bang for the buck!
Stay tuned!
Kim
