    Down Sizing

Thinking of you also here. My psa # is 7 but with heart problems and 70 years old and after reading about the psa test I decided not to go further with any treatment. Had an uncle die from it at 89. Hope you and I make it to 89. Thanks for all you do for this site. Art

Avoiding mold by buying the right rig

Us old boat folks know that ventilating is the key to keeping mold down. The closet in my 35 Voyage sweats on the inside wall if I do not keep the door open during cold humid weather.  The inside window frames drip water during hi humidity cold days. Keep the heat turned up and ventilate. Art

    Slide-out water leak

When the wind blows I have always had a wet floor on mine. If it is raining hard I have to bring in the slide on the wind side. It is a 2006 but has done it from new when we bought it. I am just glad Winnebago does not make boats! Art

    Cracking settling noises

My levelers would do that when the temperature would change at night. Cooling off hydraulic fluid can make the pistons go up & the rv go down ever so slightly just a bit & the seals make a noise when the cylinders slide past. Only a few thousands of an inch but it can make a racket. Art

    Winnebago Brave 34D Wheel Vibration

I would look for an out of round tire when it is up to speed. Yes brand new tires can be out of round when up to speed. Went threw heck with my new at the time Jeep Wrangler Till I replaced the Goodyear's with Michelin. Its now 16 years old & no shake at any speed. Art

    Solid tire extensions

YOLO That's more like what I had in mine! You found what I was looking for. With the nut on the outside if it ever starts to leak & show soap bubbles I can tighten down the nut just a bit without dismounting the tire from the wheel to get to the nut. Thanks YOLO  Art

    Solid tire extensions

Gary Maybe I should not have called it an extension but look up a DL3FC and you will see what I am looking for. Thanks for your reply Art

    Solid tire extensions

NY_DUTCH If you look up this DL3FC  you will see what I am looking for but I want one with the nut External. The DL3FC has the nut internal. I would think someone would make it with an external nut.  Thanks for the reply.

    Solid tire extensions

The normal solid tire extensions have the nut on the inside of the wheel & when they need tightening you have to demount the tire to get to the nut. Years ago I saw an extension that had the nut on the outside. You would just push the extension threw from the inside & it bottomed out on its base...

Should I switch to a synthetic oil??

Been a meck all my life. In your car which some can get close to 35 miles per gallon not as much burning takes place. At 6.5 miles per gallon in our rv's  you are burning much more gas so more contamination in the oil.   I hear this type argument all the time about what brand or type oil to...

    Washer Connection

I also installed a Splendide in my Voyage and the first thing I installed before I put it in was a nylon drain pan which I feel should be under all of them draining straight out to the ground. I have never closed the valves. A friend of mine's wife put WAY to much soap in her's once & it made a...

    Calling all Winne class A

Yes Keven & John I agree & will also now calk the vertical areas. Let me tell you a LOT of rust has occurred on mine in that area & I am not so lazy as I sure would have calked it sooner had I only have known, that's why I posted it here. Thanks for the reply's Art.

    Calling all Winne class A

I strongly suggest you seal the windshield tops of the upper and lower horizontal rubber trim pieces to stop water from funneling in. I sure wish I had. They are not seals, only trim for looks. The lower one has been pouring rain all over the windshield wiper motor and all the metal which makes...

    Chassis Rust

John, I also have a Jeep Wrangler 16 years old & I have sprayed WD-40 in all the frame holes for years. Can you give me a link to your Jeep site?  As for the OP My Winnebago 2006 Voyage has rust all over it now including the 5 brackets just under the front windshield that hold the fiberglass...

    New Winnebago owner -Brave31c

It is a sad state of affairs in today's rv industry. When we see Winnebago having slide problems, parts falling off, and poor workmanship I am discussed. If we don't complain and pass around how bad things are and start to compare other brands there will be no pressure on the rv manufactures to...
