I used a fiberglass repair kit to repair ours, then got under the thing and added some blocks to support the floor. I had to cut a hole in the lower part of the tub to access the underside of the floor. I cut the hole to fit a air register that I was going to use to cover the floor. After I...
We traveled in a TT pulled by a Diesel truck with a 75 gallon axillary tank. I have always bought diesel where it is the least expensive via the Gas Buddy App. I never paid attention to the bio diesel aspect. I tend to stay away from very small run down looking stations. I have tended to use...
I thought I'd drop a note to let everyone know that our days of RV travel have come to an end. After 38 years of travel, our interests have changed and we are staying close to home and spending more time participating in Car and Antique Farm Equipment shows. We were using our TT for very few...
The design of what became the SR-71, started late in the 1950's. Its amazing how aircraft design progressed in 20 years. Below is a an interesting link about the bird...
I've had trailers with and without a black tank flush. I've found it useful to add a few gallons of fresh water to an empty tank. Had no problems without it. We did not dump the tank until it was at least 3/4 full then added a few gallons of water to through the commode before using it the...
Interesting! I wish I could have understood everything they were saying. My old ears just can't understand foreign voices who are speaking fast English. I will probably never own an electric vehicle, but I do find them fascinating. The technology has been progressing at a furious pace.
We've never had a tank sensor that was accurate. The last four Trailers we've owned all had the same problem. Additive is a waste of money! We've been fortunate and are able to use Tom's method and look in the hole with a flashlight and see the level to check it.
We've never had one that was accurate. Our toilet dumps directly into the tank. After a few days of use, I've been able to hold down the petal and look to see the level, then dump when its nearly full.
Best of Luck, John! I'm confident that you'll make the best of your situation. I've always enjoyed your input and you're wisdom about RV living will not go away just because you're not living in one anymore. Gary has certainly proved that!!!!
I've always felt more comfortable running a trailer tire at max pressure, especially in the summer when its hot. I'll give up a little wear to make sure they stay a little cooler. I've never detected any handling problem as a result.
If you have an extra belt sander, you could take it down to Port Aransas, TX in the winter and race it!!! The Gaff bar has a track and have races at least once a month in the winter. Here is a video about it.
