Gary, my awning won't power-retract. I just replaced the fabric and now need to know how many turns are supposed to be put on the torsion spring so that the motor will have assistance in overcoming the gas struts. I noticed you have found manuals for these but I haven't been able to. I've got at...
So I checked the system recovery while enroute on the interstate with engine turning 1800 and found the compressor comes on every 7 minutes for only about 10 seconds. Tells me the system demand is 10/420 or 2.4% of the compressor capacity. This ought to be a good data point to refer to in the...
Both of the little air pressure warning switches on the brake treadle valve assembly are leaking where the lower screw terminal is. Having removed and disassembled them, it looks like there's no way they can be made not to leak so I'm looking for a better one that won't leak. Then I'll be...
Having replaced both rear air bags and fixed a big leak at the air horn solenoid valve, the cycling is a whole lot less, but when I shut down, the system loses air gradually over a few minutes so still looking for small leaks.
Thanks for replies. So far I found a significant leak at the air horn solenoid input connection so I've plugged it off and still apparently have another leak elsewhere. I begged a copy of the air system schematic from the Freightliner dealer. What a maze of lines! And the tanks appear to have...
I recently bought a 1999 MH with Freightliner chassis and now I notice the air pressure fluctuating on about a twice-a-minute cycle while driving at highway speed on a relatively smooth road. Drops to 90 then builds back up to 105. Is this normal? I've checked for water in the tanks and there...
Checked every fuse in the Intellec panel and the small panel inside near the steering column; system has pressure, blower runs but compressor won't run. There's no voltage on the pressure switch mounted on the receiver/dryer and if I bypass the switch, the compressor still doesn't run. So what...
