Storms, Winds, and a Damaged RV

Gary, I'd agree with you if I hadn't heard of so many others that had truly major damage on their homes and had checks in hand within a few days.  One thing that confirms my belief is the fact that Progressive has called me to state their apology for the claim taking 'well more than it should...

Storms, Winds, and a Damaged RV

I don't know that I posted the final outcome of our insurance ordeal but if anyone is interested please look at our blog.  In short, the amount of the final reimbursement from Progressive Insurance was reasonable; however, their timeliness was in our opinion unacceptable.  I simply don't believe...

    TT Box Sizes?

That's what I use to think about the model numbers, and it use to be true.  However, I've found a few with model numbers like M210 that are approx 23' boxes.  That's the reason I am having some difficulty.  The only thing that is usually available on mfg web sites are the overall length.  Good...

    TT Box Sizes?

Does anyone know how to know the box size on any of the following travel trailers?  I know the tongue-to-bumper (tip-to-tip) lengths but can't find a source for the box sizes. Gulfstream Visa 23RBK 25'-11" tip 2 tip / box length =? Heartland Edge M219 25'-6" tip 2 tip / box length = ? Forest...

Storms, Winds, and a Damaged RV

Jeff, Give some close consideration to increasing your Actual Cash Value (ACV) on your policy!  ???  If you're experience is similar to ours you'll find that upon a lose (assuming a total lose) the value of the RV will NOT be assoicated with the ACV but rather the value placed on the RV by the...

Storms, Winds, and a Damaged RV

Without going into all the details, we settled with Progressive Insurance last Friday.  After 3+ weeks of extended periods of no progress with 'Progessive Insurance' we're finally moving on with what was inevitable - our RV was totalled.  You can follow our saga closer on our blog...

    What TT approximately 3500 lbs?

Thanks for the Funfinder forum link.  Didn't even know it existed!  ;D

    What TT approximately 3500 lbs?

Haven't towed anything with it yet since I don't have the Class III hitch on it yet.  As far as I'm concerne, I'm committed to towing once I get the Class III on there.  But I've been tracking other TT and Sport Trac forums to see other experiences....thus far, really good as long as you observe...

    What TT approximately 3500 lbs?

Yep, we're looking at the Funfinders also.  I'll agree with you that I'd like to have slightly better suited tow vehicle but we love the Sport Trac and no money!!!!  8)  Also, we're at least fortunate that the Sport Trac we have has the best rear end diff of the Sport Tracs for towing, etc  I've...

    What TT approximately 3500 lbs?

I'll be using a 2005 Ford Sport Trac 4x4 with a tow cap of 5050 lbs.

    What TT approximately 3500 lbs?

The one thing I have to watch on those is the hitch weight.  Using the area over the front frame certainly give more room for a fixed length.  :)

    What TT approximately 3500 lbs?

I can't believe you get all that in that TT!  We've owned a couple pop-ups, a TT, and two Class A MHs and I can relate to your list as far as getting it all in the MH. but not in a 20ish ft TT.  If you're wintering in it I can see how you'd need all that.  You're right, our trips are a lot...
