Jeep just gave us a new Jeep

You know me Kim, so not surprised when I say I LOVE the gadgets. Especially coming from a 2001 Durango which had nice amenities for the time, but boy have they gotten better over the years. It is very comfortable to drive and has all the safety gadgets, sensors, adaptive cruise control, etc...

Jeep just gave us a new Jeep

I too had the problem with the check engine light on, with our 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel. It first came on last year for about two months and then mysteriously went out on its own. After a couple of months with the engine light not coming on, it mysteriously came on again, only this time...

    Linux OS Conversation

With my previous machine, I used to dual-boot Windows 7 and Ubuntu Linux.  Now that I have the new Dell (Alienware), with Win 8 and a new type of bios, it proved more difficult than I wanted to pursue to get it to dual boot.  I may consider running a Linux in a Virtual box. Can anyone talk to...

    New VMSpc system, with Bluetooth!

If you were to buy a tablet for the express purpose of using the VMSpc system, is there one in particular that you would recommend?

    How many fulltimers?

That would be foolish and short sighted in my opinion.  As a "real" RV full-timer, this rule from a particular state (especially if they try to enforce it) would force me to take my coach and money and spend it in another state before this time period elapses.

Got our first RV... Questions Help Please

Old furnaces make me nervous.  Please consider before you stay another night installing a carbon monoxide detector if one is not already installed.  If it did come with one, put fresh batteries in it.

    New full timer

Have you considered a Class A coach?  We had a 2011 38' Allegro RED from Tiffin, which had the bunk beds in the back, and an ample living space up front which sounds like it would fit your needs perfectly.

Falling Out of Love with Winnebago Industries - Full Wall Slide Problems

I am sorry to hear about the problems you are having.  Yours is not first I've heard of issues with Service from Winnebago.  We just purchased a new coach, and decided, once again, to get a Tiffin.  We looked at a Winnebago Tour, and we loved the design and layout.  They had a lot of new and...

What year did HDMI cable become standard in coaches?

There's no simple answer. For our 2011 Tiffin Allegro RED, it was partially HDMI.  The satellite connections were component to a distribution panel, that then took it to all the TVs. The DVD receiver and surround sound was an HDMI connection that went to all the TVs.  So for this brand, and that...

The new RV is almost ready!

Congratulations Marty! You are getting a beautiful coach, for sure.  We are a little partial since we are trading in our current Tiffin coach, for another one.  ;D  Welcome to the "Tiffin club". We are currently in Red Bay, Alabama watching our new coach being built.  Do you have plans to...

Dog in the back of the truck?

Another point about NOT allowing the dog in the back of the truck, is the same reason you should not allow your dog to stick his head out of the window as the car is moving.  There are many incidents of dogs getting debris into their eyes this way.  This is why motorcycle riders wear goggles.

Trying to figure out house batteries.

donn, that is not completely accurate.  Many coaches today come with a built-in Inverter, which converts the 12VDC to 120V AC.  But point taken that you will still not be able to run the A/C because of the power drain.  My suggestion would be that during quiet hours to shut down as much as...

Sorry....take YOUR dog somewhere else (they say)

Two beautiful dogs.  In particular, the GSD (sorry, I'm biased  ;D  ).  Looks a lot like a GSD family member we had a couple of years ago. If I had the time, I would be active in trying to get laws past in states that disallow these breed restrictions.  You can say that places have the right...
