    Clint Eastwood Saga....New Tow Vehicle

The Good... We sold the 2003 Chevy 2500 CCSB 4x4 that we had for 16 years. Bought a 2022 Denali HD. The Bad... Hitch plate is now way higher in new truck...has Puck System (not bad, just expensive for the mounting piece) The Ugly... When hitched, 5er looks like an A380 at Vr yet failing too...

LED flood light on 5er bumper

So after much cranial energy put into this I decided to ditch the idea of splicing into the taillights and instead bought an item from amazon with 4 cube lights and a 2 foot bar with a switch and relay all all in 1 harness….wired to the battery with switch inside the storage compartment. Not...

LED flood light on 5er bumper

So sometimes I arrive at a campsite and it is pitch dark. It happens. Copilot gets frustrated at how long it takes to move 1 foot...if she is even there. It happens (Guys fishing trip...first to arrive., etc. I want to get a simple LED light bar that comes on only in reverse, fed off of the...

Awning Support Arms - Shaking in the Wind

Thanks for the tips...but everything said was already tried. I am familiar with how they work, just seems like that attachment point should not be so sloppy in the grooves in the lower arms. I have a video of it happening, but cannot get it to upload onto this site.

Awning Support Arms - Shaking in the Wind

Just noticed today that the attachment points of the awning tube and the 2 supports is not stout….the top bar moves back and forth when the diagonal moves up and down with the slightest wind gust. 5th wheel is 2006 model. Seems to me there is something wrong. Both sides do it. Any advise

    What Brand/Type Breaker Are These?

I can find no identifying marks on these breakers that would provide a clue as to what type/brand to add one 15 amp to this buss. Typical Friendship Industries AC distribution box. Anybody recognize?

RV 12 volt negative lead to battery...Just grounded to closest steel?

Solved with y'alls help! Grounds connections were slightly oxidized.  Used Dremmel to grind down to bare copper and steel, reconnected everything and now all is good. Lesson here is that you don't have to see white powder on battery connections to have a problem, slight enough oxidation can...

RV 12 volt negative lead to battery...Just grounded to closest steel?

I'm surprised I have to ask this, but are most 5th wheel 12 volt systems just grounded from the neg battery post to the closest steel/iron part?  Like a typical car/truck?

Gray Tank Valve Not Closing - Need Easy Fix

Ok, so the garden hose fitting that I am referring to is just like this... Valterra T1020-1 Waste Valve Cap - 3" with Capped 3/4" GHT, Black...I like this feature so that I can slightly unscrew and therefore "test" the integrity of the waste system exit before I remove the whole 3" cap...

Gray Tank Valve Not Closing - Need Easy Fix

So I went to dump station after 2 days boondocking, unscrewed garden hose cap before removing 4"  cap. Gray waste water from shower & bathroom sink drained out, about 1-2 gallons. Definitely not black waste or from kitchen sink. Is there some way to fish/snake some type of brush or other tool to...

    Water-based Sealant Over New Decals

So my 5er has the Keystone Outback decal problem...shrink & peel. I have almost completely replaced or "restored" the decals on this RV...using....you guessed it...paint. Took refridge outside access panel down to the corner OSH & asked for the best dang exterior water-based paint they...

Decal replacement - who makes the best, longest lasting decal material?

I already am far too aware of mid-2000's Keystone Outback decals were made of junk from the Southern Hemisphere. Who do you guys think has/makes the best longest lasting & materials to duplicate the various swirls and designs? Oh yeah, I am doing the work myself...2 girls in college next...

Any Reason Not to Install longer pigtails from tanks to RV?

It's always been a knuckle skinner to get my 7 gallon tanks into and out of the compartment, let alone get the damn things connected!  Now that I have lost an altercation ( one-sided, I only get around to cusing at it and then myself) with my tablesaw and have less than optimal strength and...

    Yamaha EF2000iS Portable Generator Problems

Ok guys, watch me answer my own question!!!! I occasionally use the above generator 2-3x/year maybe and then gets stowed away in the garage, where in summer it is 100+ and winter 45-50ish. When I tried to start it last weekend (yeah, on a boon-docking trip, and yes, after sitting in the...

Old School Analog/Digital TV...What type convertoer do I Need?

Regarding the Wingman add-on UHF Antenna, can it be mounted on either side of the Winegard Antenna? When the Winegard batwing is in the down/lowered position, I seem to only have room on one side, which I believe is the side that attaches to the body of the antenna to the articulating post.  The...
