Need new Insurance company for the Harley

I've got Allstate and have no complaints, they do have reduction while it's stored, which I don't use since I ride almost all year. I tried the others and they weren't even close when I bought my 2010 Electra Glide, turned out to be about $50 more than what I was paying Progressive on my old 95...

    Hardening Foam

It's urethane foam, I've used it in gaps around windows and doors at the house. There's the high, and medium expanding foam, usually yellow, and the water proof kind, gray, used for building water features like ponds and fountains. Works pretty good. Home Depot, Lowes and probably most hardware...

    Stupid People!!!

While riding a motorcycle I've come up on various objects on the road, namely a sofa that was straddling two lanes, a wheel barrow again straddling two lanes, 6x6 landscaping tie, a wood pallet and a car bumper. The one that takes the prize is a friend of mine who came up on a ship propeller...

    Random CO spikes

Co detector sensors simulate hemoglobin in your blood and over a period of time accumulate back ground CO. When CO is accumulated in the sensor it doesn't go away and makes the sensor useless. If I read this right you tried a different CO detector and got the same erratic results? Your unit...

Buying an RV out of state- trouble with title/reg, travel permit

I bought a pop up new in Wisconsin from a dealer. I live in Pennsylvania, I towed it back with no plates on it and didn't have a problem. I had the bill of sale and if I was stopped that was all I needed. When I got to Pa and registered it all I had to do was pay Pa sales tax. Plate was issued...

    confusing water set up

From what I see here and in the manual the valve on the iron pipe is a gas valve so you can ignore that one, the red looks like a tank fill and the blue, hiding behind the hose, looks like the power drain. It also looks like the orange extension cord could be for heat wrap? Just my 2 cents worth

Dealer says PDI is a cost he pays

"The manager said the person we had dealt with had offered too much on our trade, thus the added PDI, at least he was honest about it" I had something similar happen when I went to buy my current pick up. I went by this dealership one day and seen a truck I really liked so I stopped in. The...

    Annual maintenance ...

I'm new to this whole MH thing, I had pop ups before, and I'm still learning but I feel I'm capable enough to do my own annual maintenance and what ever else needs done. I have a mechanic that does my vehicle safety inspections and I also have him do oil changes and such on my other vehicles...

    We made a dumb decision

I made a quick decision when I bought mine last year at a RV show. Not that I found the same thing cheaper but from researching after the fact. CW salesman was kind of pushing the store brand, I didn't realize that at the time and for about$4000 more could've had the manufacturers equivalent...

Propane odor around tanks - Normal?

Amazon sells them and there are links to check out compatibility of material for propane use. Or the propane dealer will have exactly what you need. http://www.amazon.com/Replacement-O-Ring-compounds-Propane-Service/dp/B007HRL9RC

Propane odor around tanks - Normal?

I forgot to mention the o rings, they do tend to get a little brittle after awhile. Someone who had their Cheerios could've over tightened the fittings a bit and caused them to crack or deform. Hope ya get it fixed up.

Propane odor around tanks - Normal?

My experience with mercaptan, the stuff they use to give it the odor, is that it's an escape artist. That stink gets out no matter what and can also linger for days. It doesn't take much to pick up the scent. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methanethiol

    toilet paper

Partially correct, when I was a kid my dad called me that because how long I'd stay in the saddle on a horse, later it was motorcycles. He always said if he could figure out how to put a toilet on the thing, I'd never have to get off. When I was young, poor and probably dumb I rode quite a few...

    Tow options

I've towed a trailer with my Class C and I haven't been charged anything extra for leaving it in the over flow parking lot. At least not yet.  My trailer is an enclosed cargo, about 12' long and I haul my motorcycle in it.

    Wheel Bearing Issue

Front seals on the inside of the rotors? Wiped out the brake calipers and rotors? Naw, I think someone is blowing smoke up your wazoo. Normally the inside seal, on rotor, is replaced when the bearings are taken out for replacement or repacking with grease. If that inside seal leaked they either...
