Great roads for a class A

Jim,   Are you a pilot?  Although I've been a pilot for 35 years, I've never made it out to Oshkosh.  Many of my friends have.  If you run into a group from the San Francisco Bay area, please say "hello" from me.  I believe that a pilot/controller by the name of Denny Cunningham used to be...

    New GPS

Rob,   Thank you so much!  That POI database of retail stores will come in handy, I'm sure.  I haven't had much time to play with it, since it arrived a few days ago and I've been in hospital for about eight days now.  They expect to let me out on Wednesday, and I'll get to know the unit a lot...

    New GPS

I just purchased a Tomtom G0 910.  Anybody got any hints on how to operate it that are interesting/time saving/etc.?  Thanks in advance!

    dealing with trash

What I don't understand is why some campgrounds have trash cans at almost every site, and others require a *long* walk to a dumpster.  You'd think that would come to some reasonable compromise based on a cost/benefit analysis.

    Why do guys do that?

So far this thread has touched upon the two latest side effects of my chemo:  losing my hair and the state of my bowels.  Has someone here been opening my mail from my oncologist? Irv

    Why do guys do that?

I've almost never worn a hat, indoors or out, but if I had one one I would take it off indoors.  However, times have changed, and my recent chemotherapy has caused my hair to fall out, so I wear a cap almost all the time to protect it from the elements.  I wear it indoors as well, mainly...

    Compuserve account

I remember being able to read the screen at 300 baud.  Couldn't do that at 1200.  I had one of the earliest email accounts there, [email protected].  People were amazed that I had no numbers or underscores in my email address. But, $9.95/mo was too much to pay just for the privilege of...

    g.p.s.

I don't know if it's the least expensive, but I've got a coupon for $50 off from Costco.com.  Actually, since I've been shopping for a GPS I've seen the Magellan Maestro line, which looks pretty good to me.  I don't care about Bluetooth (I don't even know what it is), so I don't need that...

    g.p.s.

Are any of you using a Tomtom One, and if so, what do you like/don't like about it.  Thanks! Irv

    Super C vs Class A

We bought a Fleetwood Fiesta LX 34N in Jacksonville, Fl in December and couldn't be happier with it.  The Fiesta line and the Terra line are *exactly* the same except for colors.  Some dealers carry one, and some the other.  If you're anywhere near Jacksonville please let me know and I'll...

Help! AC kicked off While on 30Amp Svc

Our 2007 Fleetwood Fiesta LX 34N with 30a service has two air conditioners, and when running on either generator power or shore power it will do automatic load shedding as necessary, completely transparent to the occupants.  I'm surprised that both air conditioners can remain on for as long...

    Best Gas Credit Card

Citi offers a card with 2% back on gasoline purchases.  Limit of $300 rebate in one year.  That's $15,000 in gas.  Get fuelin'!   My wife and I each have a card, so between the two of us we can get $600 back.  That's $30,000 in gas.  At $3.50/ gallon, that's 8571.43 gallons.  At eight miles...

    Feeling a bit stupid

I'm not too concerned with where the rear speakers are actually located.  The radio/CD player has a control for treble, bass, left/right, and forward/rear.  When the rear position is selected no sound comes out of anywhere.  I believe that we were told that the rear speakers were located in...

    Feeling a bit stupid

It's time for me to get some feedback regarding how stupid I've been, if at all.  (Just regarding *this* topic, please.)   I brought my Fleetwood Fiesta LX 34N into Hansel RV for some warranty work, among other things.  I told them that the rear speakers for the radio/CD player weren't...

    I-680 Bridge

Bernie,   As long as you can get to the Benicia Bridge by 3pm, you'll have no problem.  Just remember to get off of I-5 and get on I-680 towards Walnut Creek and Concord.  On I-680, get in the left lane (that's important).  Here's the whole deal:   Stay on I-5 until it meets up with I-580...
