    Austin, Nevada

Thanks for the tips y'all. Dick, we're looking forward to the drive. We found Bailey's outside of Beatty and just got out of the middle temp spring....Ahhh, relaxing. This is our second day, so by check out tomorrow we both should be in max-relax mode. Bailey's is old, but the couple managing...

Hi Tom, thanks for your reply. Hope things are going well for you. Any word on hot springs between Amargosa and Austin without using commercial places??

    Austin, Nevada

We've heard some good things about Austin, Nv and will be headed up that way after Tonopah. I've been told there's a lot of switchbacks and curves going up into the town. Anyone been there, done that?? Also, any info on sights to see and maybe hot springs we can get to without a toad. I'm on...

    Our Oregon Trek

We plan to stay off the interstates as much as possible. We want to see the country and time is not a factor. In Las Vegas now. Margie has never been here before, so we're taking in the sights and lights. Not interested in gambling, but she did play a few $ in the slots for the fun of it...

    Our Oregon Trek

Day two of our adventure. Spent the night at Camp WallyWorld in Marana (north of Tucson) after having new tires installed in Tucson. Intended on rising about 5:30, but was so tired from the previous couple days that we slept in till 7....what the heck, we're on no schedule.  A little coffee...

House Battery Wires to Onan Genny ??

Gary, since you mentioned it before I wondered myself. At the time I was kinda frustrated I guess. I'll try to do better next time ;D

House Battery Wires to Onan Genny ??

Ok, found where that sucker goes. Its a hot wire (for maybe an interior light in a toy trailer) back by the hitch. It rings out on continuity and gets a reading when touched to the house battery. Won't be using it, so its marked and ziptied out of the way. Whew, glad that's done, got sand in my...

House Battery Wires to Onan Genny ??

Mornin Gary, This is one of the wires at the house batteries, its about 20 guage with a loop connector for a threaded/wingnut post. Had a bit of a rough night, so I'm trying to coffee up and get back on this.

House Battery Wires to Onan Genny ??

I was hoping someone would have the same setup, as I have trouble crawling around anymore. I can't see any reason for it to connect to the negative post. The wire has a battery connector loop on the end, no power to it, and no continuity to the frame. I'll try to trace it tomorrow.

House Battery Wires to Onan Genny ??

My question concerns the wiring that attach to the house batteries. I know where the large red & black go, as well as the smaller red one. The issue is a white one that comes up out of the loom. I assume this also goes to positive, but we all know assumptions can cause big trouble sometimes...

An infrared thermometer is used to quickly check the heat of your tires. If one is hotter than the rest its a good bet it needs air. A lot faster and easier than making the rounds with a tire guage. Lots of people use their laser each time they stop somewhere. There are some on fleabay for...

    Adding batteries

I was going to buy 2 new 12V deep cycles, but if I'm understanding this correctly I'm better off with 2 X 6V batteries. Sorry, but numbers confuse me to no end. (I've had to deal with this learning problem all my life and it really stinks.) Thanks for dumbing it down to my level.

How about an infrared laser thermometer?? eBay has some reasonably priced ones.
