    BF Goodrich Commercial TA

Making the assumption you're looking at a 16" wheel for that tire. I ran them on my 1995 Pace Arrow about three years ago and never had a complaint. They were good tires made by a great manufacturer. Like anything in that size range you need to be very careful about loading and weight balance to...

Anything out there that will tow 10K from the factory under $50K?

My knowledge base is Fleetwood but most of the Freightliner chassis diesel pusher rigs of the early-2000s will hit your <$50,000 price point and tow 10,000 pounds though you may need an upgrade to the hitch receiver. Often the coach builder will use a cheaper and lighter duty hitch receiver to...

Unfounded fears when towing behind a MH?

We're dragging a 27' trailer behind a 39' coach and the only recommendation I would have is be patient. If you don't think you can make the turn, wait for the next opportunity. Otherwise, you have the right idea to practice and do it in areas where you already know your way around and feel...

    Selling/trading gasser with high mileage

For what it's worth, if I were in the market for a coach I might be more inclined to go higher mileage AND newer versus lower mileage AND older. I had a 1995 Pace Arrow 35 that I sold last October. Better than fair condition but it was showing that it was 20 years old in areas and sometimes...

Continuing saga of the Allegro Bus -The other two issues

Pardon me if this has already been mentioned. Is the coach absolutely level? I recently went through a brief stay where the coach was on gas and electricity for a three day period but was out of level both side to side and for and aft. While it was still cold, it was not cold enough. I moved...

    Roof Advice

To the OP, did the shop ever mention approaching your insurance company to help pay for this? I've owned a coach with an EPDM roof and it never looked any better or worse than your roof. It just took some cleaning.

Where is the best place to buy tire covers? And... Should I drop jacks?

Saw in a magazine recently an idea that might be more palatable. The writer used pop out windshield screens, the reflector type. They fit fine in the wheel well, allowed air circulation and were far easier to install than the typical tire cover. YMMV. As for the storing with or without a full...

Preferred route thorugh Colorado coming from Dodge City, Kansas

This is me, rarely over 65 whenever, 65 for certain when I'm towing.

Preferred route thorugh Colorado coming from Dodge City, Kansas

Well this certainly explains why Google Maps offered me the option of driving all the way to Wyoming and catching the 80 westward to Nevada. I'll see how may calendar looks and decide when I get there I guess. Thanks for the input, I really appreciate it.

Preferred route thorugh Colorado coming from Dodge City, Kansas

Is it so much slower than I would not want to run it? Or is it going to be a trip to remember and do it once? Having never driven in Colorado I mainly want to avoid huge passes at high elevation if possible.

Preferred route thorugh Colorado coming from Dodge City, Kansas

I'm coming from Dodge City, Kansas westward toward Nevada in mid-May with a 39' Discovery and a 22' car trailer. I'm trying to figure out if the more direct route on US 50 makes more sense than backtracking up to the I-70 to get to Utah and the route back to Nevada. What type of drive will...

    Is This Really Necessary?

Partially true and only because the weather is so awful up therein the fall and winter. They run whenever the ambient temp is 40* or lower. Good article on the why/how/when and what kind of money they are saying they save the taxpayer...

looking for weights of class a's

Gas or diesel powered will make a significant difference. My 35' gas was rated to 17,500 pounds GVWR; my 39' diesel is rated at 27,900+/-. Do you have a specific make/model in mind?

Sizing for Adco Tyre Gard covers

This is more of a "keep the weather off the wheels and there is no heat this time of the year" solution for me. The wind blows here in Reno and water is filling the rear wheel rims. It's also 35* on a good day. Heat isn't going to be an issue. Thanks for the alternative solutions though.

Sizing for Adco Tyre Gard covers

I've got 265/75-22.5 tires that Toyo says measure 38.4" inches inflated. My tape measure says pretty much the same thing. Adco's Tyre Gard covers suggest two different sizes. The first covers a 36-39" diameter range and the other is the 40-42". I could likely do the smaller size in the rear...
